I spent last Sunday at the first (hopefully annual) Curtis Park Memorial Criteriums (bike races) at Curtis Park. What a great event! Great turnout from the Colorado racing community, a fantastic course, and it seemed many of the local residents enjoyed their first exposure to competitive cycling.
It was great to see newly-elected District 8 councilwoman Carla Madison at the races, voicing her support of making it an annual event, and even starting some of the events. Here's hoping her immediate presence in the district is a sign of things to come, and that the Curtis Park Memorial Criteriums will be back next year, and year after year in the future.

On behalf of Carla Madison, City Council District 8 Elect, I would like to extend her congratulations on the First Annual Curtis Park Memorial Criterium.
She had an absolute blast and sincerely hopes that it will be a successful annual event.
Carla has indicated her intentions of active future support, and as the founder of the City Park Festival of the Arts, her belief in community and community events is determined and unshakable.
As a bike rider she found the Curtis Park Memorial Criterium “tremendously exciting and incredibly inspirational”. It was a great source of pride for her to have been able to participate both as a neighbor and as Council-elect.
Please consider Carla as an ally and supporter of this wonderful event.
