Who is more dangerous: My dog, or your son?

It creases me that when I'm out walking my dog that people in the neighborhood often grab their little kids and hold them away from my dog, frowning, as if my dog is vicious and poised to attack their kid. I'm going to do the same thing with my dog the next time I pass some thuggish-looking kid on the sidewalk.
